Can I send and receive fax messages with MS Outlook?

Yes, however, it will not be possible to use the Inbox maintained by MS Outlook.

The solution will allow viewing and storage of files from your Outlook folder bar after receiving via Speedway!fax. You will still be able to send faxes from the Outlook ‘Compose’ function. Reception will show by Speedway!Journal and be stored in an area which can be accessed by Outlook.

Open the Speedway!fax application and configure for use as Fax reception.

Open the Fax Settings form. From the Speedway!fax tab, New Faxes panel, check the Open Journal tick box. From the ISDN tab, click on the Extended settings... button, check the Fax reception of "Speech" signal tick box. Click OK, then OK again to close the Settings form.

Speedway!fax will now auto answer all incoming ISDN calls. And automatically open the journal to indicate when a new fax has arrived.

To add The Speedway!fax FaxRec folder to The MS Outlook Bar. Open the File menu and select Add to Outlook Bar... From the Look in: list select File System. Follow the path My Computer, C:\Program Files\Speedway!\FaxRec and click OK. The FaxRec folder will now be added to the currently selected Outlook Bar section, Outlook, Mail or Other. Whilst the FaxRec folder is open it is possible to navigate to other File System folders by clicking the FaxRec open window title.
